CHILD SEATBELT SAFETY PROGRAM

Facilitator: Attorney Spencer T. Kuvin

Our attorneys understand the importance of sharing their knowledge and giving back to the communities in which they live. Attorney Kuvin speaks to local schools and the student’s parents (SAC/PTA) regarding the importance of proper safety belt use and child seat safety. Attorney Kuvin has completed all requirements of the Jessica Lunsford Act. The presentation consists of a 20 minute presentation consisting of a lecture, short video and a safety seat demonstration. Below are some of the schools presentations have been made:

• Waters Edge Elementary

Don’t let your child become a statistic:

1. READ your child safety seat instructions and the child safety seat instructions in your vehicles Owner’s Manual.
2. INSTALL your child safety seat tightly so that it cannot move more than one inch at the seat belt paths.
3. CONTACT your local police or fire department for a FREE child safety seat inspection. Many departments have certified child safety seat technicians on staff.
4. LOCATE a child safety seat certified technician in your area by clicking here.
5. BE SURE your child safety seat hasn’t been recalled by checking here.
6. REPORT any problems you may have with your child safety seat here.
